Yellow Mexican Poppy (Mexican Flame Flower) with Bees Leesa Baldwin

Bright yellow Mexican poppies attract bees, showcasing pollinator activity and vibrant flowering. Whilst attractive, these plants are significant weeds in Australia as they invade floodplains and river systems across all states, in particular the NT, WA, NSW and Qld where they compete with crops and can be problematic if eaten by stock or as a cause of wool contamination.
