Red Natal grass - (Melinis repens) typically grows to a height of 1 metre (about 3.3 feet), though it can range from 0.3 to 1.5 metres tall depending on conditions. It is a tufted annual or perennial grass that forms open, upright, and often flowering stems. It will grow to1m but can get up to 1.2–1.5m in favorable environments. It features thin, hairy, and reddish to pinkish-white fluffy seed heads. Commonly found in disturbed areas, such as roadsides, railways, and open spaces. A short-lived perennial that thrives in warm, temperate to tropical climates. While it is an attractive plant, it is considered environmental weed in many parts of Australia and the southern United States.
