These are some photos I took while crossing the Nullarbor on my Big Lap.
The rusted cars and derelict service station are at Koonalda Homestead in the Nullabor National Park about 20ks north of the new Eyre Highway.
Koonalda was a woking sheep and service station on the Old Eyre Highway before becoming part of the Nullabor National Park in 1989.
And there’s a pic of the old Eucla service station which I remember being stuck at while old Harvey – a local rabbit trapper – managed to bush fix a blown transmission hose many years ago. Thanks Harvey!
