Celebrating the Women Behind Queensland’s Rural Lenses

(Originally posted 5th Dec ’25)

Over the past few months, as we’ve been building our new Aussie agriculture and rural-life stock image library, we’ve had the privilege of speaking with many photographers across Queensland.

And something remarkable has stood out.

So many of these photographers are women living and working on real rural properties.

They’re raising families, running households, and helping manage sheep, cattle, and cane… all while building their photography businesses on the side.

Their work ethic is something we feel: gritty, steady, and deeply rooted in the rhythms of the land.

And then there are the women who go even further.

Several we’ve spoken to are FIFO workers, spending two-week rotations in mining or other remote industries, returning home only to swap steel-capped boots for cameras and capture the authentic rural moments they love.

The tenacity it takes to juggle that lifestyle is nothing short of inspiring.

We’re honestly in awe.

That’s why our upcoming image library is designed with them — and all rural and regional photographers — at the centre.

We’re committed to offering generous royalties, fair terms, and even dedicated feature pages showcasing their portfolios.

Our goal is simple: support their craft, amplify their stories, and help their images reach the audiences they deserve.

This is in the heart of rural Australia, and we’re honoured to help share it with the world.
